This course is designed with an emphasis on professional development in this medium for beginners and continued development for the experienced painter.
Beginner students will become aquainted with materials, set-ups, the medium, palettes, and color tubes. Still lifes lighted differently will be used in each class. Experienced students will have special projects developed for them to provide them new challenges and experiences.

OPEN STUDIO:
Open Studio is only for current students of
Water Street Pottery
During open studio, students may work on the wheel, hand building or glazing. Instruction time will be limited, so open studio is only available for students who have experience working with clay and glazes. Familiarity with Water Street Pottery's studio procedure is required. Please reserve a wheel.

POTTER'S WHEEL:
2011Winter Session
Due to the recent acceptance into Three Rrivers Art Festival, the studio is only open to previous students in a open studio setting. We will not have classes until January. Thank You

Adults (18+) & Teens (12-17years)
4 or 5 classes per session, 6 students.
2.5 hour class: $165.00 + $40.00 clay
3 hour class $195.00 + $ 40.00 clay
Supplies = 25lb. bag of clay,glazing,& firing)
Beginners will learn to center clay, create basic bowl and cylinder forms, glazing and firing. Finished pieces will be glazed.
Intermediate students will develop their bowls and cylinders into jars, mugs, pitchers, etc. Finished pieces will be glazed.
Advanced students will refine their techniques to make more consistent pieces while making dinnerware, teapots, and other advanced vessels.
2 or 3 hour studio sessions:
