From Beginning to Advanced
Jessica Danby
This course is designed with an emphasis on professional development in this medium for beginners and continued development for the experienced painter.
Beginner students will become aquainted with materials, set-ups, the medium, palettes, and color tubes. Still lifes lighted differently will be used in each class. Experienced students will have special projects developed for them to provide them new challenges and experiences.

***For students with advanced techniques or previous Waterstreet Pottery class sessions.***
Tuesdays, Wednesday or Thursday 11-2

$5.00 hour studio fee
$35.00 for clay/firing
All work will need to be ready to be bisque fired by May 6th in order to be glazed fired before the end of the session. Please talk to Rachel for instructions. 985-807-4422

KIDS ART CLASSES:
Kid's Art Classes
This Class will Be suspended until August of 2010.
Eric and his wife Jessica are enjoying their first child and I am looking for the right person to fill his spot. Believe me, this will be hard!
Instructor - Eric Danby
From hand-building with clay to painting with watercolors, children in this class with work with a variety of mediums. Class size is limited to 7, giving each student personal instruction time. Students work at their own skill level and shold expect 4or 5 completed projects in the 6 week session.
This class meets once a week for an hour and a half.
***1 make up class per session to be made up in another class if avaliable.***

You must call a day ahead to reserve a wheel
Potter's Wheel, Hand Building, Glazing
2 hour minimum including clean up time
potters wheels and 1 large table available
Fee $5.00 per hour
During open studio, students may work on the wheel, hand building or glazing. Instruction time will be limited, so open studio is only available for students who have experience working with clay and glazes. Familiarity with Water Street Pottery's studio procedure is required. Please reserve a wheel.

POTTER'S WHEEL:
Spring 2010 SESSION
***ALL MAKE-UP classes must be made up in open studio, unless approved by Rachel. No classes may be made up after trimming.

Adults (18+) & Teens (12-17years)
6 classes per session, 6 students.
2.5 hour classes: Fee: $200.00 + $40.00 supplies
3 hour classes: Fee $ 240.00 + $40.00 supplies
Teen Class: Fee $180.00 (includes supplies)
Supplies = 25lb. bag of clay,glazing,& firing)
*** There are no makeup classes/classes will be canceled if not enough students***
Beginners will learn to center clay, create basic bowl and cylinder forms, glazing and firing. Finished pieces will be glazed.
Intermediate students will develop their bowls and cylinders into jars, mugs, pitchers, etc. Finished pieces will be glazed.
Advanced students will refine their techniques to make more consistent pieces while making dinnerware, teapots, and other advanced vessels.
2 or 3 hour studio sessions:
